When the night is still and the air is thick and sultry, the sound of distant thunder gives the troubled soul a moment of solice. It is as if God is saying, I am here, listen to me. And if you don't pay heed, sometimes a flash of lightning may be thrown in. Take cover, but do not hide. Nature will flex its dominion over all. For nature is the energy of God made real, or so you may come to realize listening to distant thunder on a starless, summer night.
