Nothing from nothing leaves nothing...it's elementary. But sometimes nothing is the only thing there is. And that is what I am coming up with today for a blog: nothing. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that nothing is stimulating the muse. The muse, as some might say, is out to lunch. What do you do when you want to do something and nothing comes to mind? Do you do nothing? Or just anything? Sometimes something is better than nothing, kinda like this blog attempt right now, but sometimes it is better to just let it rest. The muse gets tired I suppose. And so do we. f So I'm afraid that's all I have today. Maybe something will come of it. I certainly hope. It would be interesting to hear what you do to push through the nothing from nothing blues. Really. I'd like to hear. Gotta love this song...really. Such an upbeat for a downbeat lyric. Loving me some Billy Preston. Take a listen. 1974 was a very good year.

When I was teaching and the answer was zero, kids would say that the answer is nothing. But I said that's not quite true. The answer is zero and it could be..........then we would imagine. An egg (what's inside?) a monster eye, a white fox curled up, a snowball, etc. Think how important zero is! A millionaire would have just a dollar if it weren't for those zeros! A temperature of 8 has a severely different meaning than 80 or 800. And on it goes. Nothing is found in nothingness.....maybe it is something wonderful hiding there......and let's celebrate that!

I guess we must sometimes come up with nothing to make us appreciate all those times we were creative or assertive in one way or another. And I remember in school discussing how most artists went through "dry spells' .
