Blessing of the Animals

In October, First Congregational Church Riverside, has a "Blessing of the Animals" on the steps of the church.  I captured these images that morning.  Tater and Ching are both in the slides.

Dia de Los Muetos/All Saints Sunday at First Congregational Church, Riverside

This is a slide show of photos I shot from the church balcony during our the service last Sunday.  We were celebrating Dia de los Muertos/All Saints Day.  The altar is covered with mementos representing loved ones of congregants who have passed on.  We also light candles in honor of those congregants who have passed on during the year.  As it was the first Sunday, we also had communion.  In our church all are welcome at the table.  The music you hear is special music performed by classical guitarist Keven Greenhaw.
