6/4/2019 0 Comments Cactus Flower MemoriesThis is one of a few hundred that were in bloom at a friend's home in Riverside. When I see cacti in bloom, I often think about the 1969 movie Cactus Flower of the same name starring Goldie Hawn, Ingrid Bergman and Walter Matthau. It is a romantic comedy with everyone ending up with the "right" partner in the end. Hard to believe that was fifty years ago. But love and comedy were much more innocent then.

Sometimes things just catch my eye. This is something that is in my curio cabinet. Usually it comes out at Christmas. The vivid colors are fun and of course a fuchsia colored reindeer wearing matching pearls with a guardian angel is just too whimsical to pass up.
This is me, as shadow, capturing some image. As a photographer, I usually am just a shadow, trying to stay in the background, trying not to be seen, while I focus on something my eye catches and wants to share. That, then, is the purpose of this photo-blog. Is it then a "phlog? Oh, that is what I do to myself when my reality doesn't meet my expectations. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy these posts. I hope to do one a day...but no one's perfect. 6/2/2019 0 Comments And so it begins: My first photo I share was taken on the street outside our AirBnB in Florence two years ago. That is the Duomo in the background. Imagine leaving your villa everyday and walking toward this sight. I could go back in a heartbeat...Taken May 2017 while attending a destination wedding in Florence Italy. Never thought I would do something like that!
