6/16/2019 1 Comment Happy Father's DayThe closest I've come to fatherhood are these two orphans who are both rescues from the mean streets of Riverside. And of course their many predecessors over the years. I've always had at least one pup to call my own. All my children and me as their devoted pop.
This picture was captured with my cell phone. Amazing...both the technology and my boys.

6/14/2019 0 Comments My Legendary Bodhi TreeEvery June my Bodhi tree turns a brilliant yellow and sheds all its leaves. Shortly thereafter the green leaves return and everything goes back to normal. I planted this tree about 15 years ago. It was just a stick at the time. Now it is about 40 feet tall. Legend has it that the Bhudda sat under a Bodhi tree to meditate. I'm not sure if he did this when the tree was molting. <G> This picture was taken this morning....

This was in LA near Exposition Park a few years ago. I guess its because red hot chile peppers are the center of some culinary universes...?
6/11/2019 1 Comment Night Laundry Italian StyleLate at night, walking along the backstreets in Portovenere, Italy, this is a common sight. Totally ecologically green I would say. Somehow a bit romantic, too, I suppose. Oh for simpler ways!
6/10/2019 1 Comment A Chevy Pickup WaitsNot every image that captures my eye is exactly beautiful. Some are just stories that are waiting to be told. This old truck caught my eye a couple months ago. It seems to have been parked and left to rust away. Probably after many years of faithful service. Maybe it is just being "stored" and will be expected to come roaring back to life at the whim of its owner. I'll probably never knew. In the meantime, it sits, waits, and no doubt, wonders.
6/8/2019 0 Comments Bee KindI am always amazed when I capture nature as it is. This bee seemed to like to be photographed. This was at the University of Riverside Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago. I'd say this was a "score".
6/7/2019 3 Comments Emerging SunflowerIsn't this gorgeous? I captured this image a while back and had forgotten about it. I think it is rather lovely, the rich greens and emerging yellow of the sunflower. I'm so glad I came across it again and can share it here.
6/6/2019 0 Comments Surprise Cactus BloomSurprise! Another cactus flower, this time in my front yard. This is a multi-branched cactus that has been out there for about five years. It is the first time it has bloomed to my knowledge. I still am amazed by how things just suddenly decide to bloom. And believe it or no, I did absolutely no enhancements to this image!
One of the things I like to do with my captured images is play with them in various applications and editing programs. The above image was taken at the Back Street outdoor cafe on Nelson here in Riverside. It is one of my favorite restaurants, open only for lunch. Most seating is outdoors in this amazingly eclectic gathering of art and decor. This was near the entrance. I did it with a cell phone app called Prisma. Fun!
